Can anyone help me please.
My livebox is working fine with my MAC wirelessly but for some reason the visitors i have with new xp machines can see the network, secure or not but never can connect. I have not encountered a router set by default to only allow one connection.
I have been through all the functions but cannot see any reaon the others can connect. DHCP is on

The livebox is limited to 6 simultaneous wireless connections so that shouldn't be the trouble.
There's a couple of main parts that can catch people out though.
1. For new devices to connect for the first time the livebox must be in pairing mode. Press the 1 button so the antenna light flashes and try connecting.
2. Make sure the WEP key is entered right, it only uses 0-9 A-F, capital letters only and no spaces. Use a wired connection to copy and paste it is the best way to get around this.
3. Some devices don't play well with the combined WEP and WPA security. In these cases changing to WPA only (prefrable option)or the lesser WEP only can help them to get connected.
