I had a lot of problems when my line had it's free upgrade in January to 8meg, getting PPP server down issues, these were eventually resloved, and i i was told my line couldn't handle 8meg, the connection speed showed as 4.6meg....
Things have been reasonable at 4.6meg, occassionally disconnecting..
But today, my connection reset, and is now showing as 2meg
Any reson for this anyone can shed any light on?
PS 1st timer here, so any help would be appreciated.

Thats the useful bit.
Appears according to those stats your line is running at the best speed it can, though the speed looks a touch low for that attenuation level. Have you changed anything at all recently? Anything new connected to the phone line, moving the livebox to a new socket, etc?
Well you could see if they can check for any faults. Though tests may come back perfectly fine as without knowing about the speed previously I would have said there was no problem there.
Hi
Can anyone give me some help i was getting good download speeds of between 5-6 meg untill i recieved the dreaded email in Jan of this year stating they were going to upgrade my line. After 4 weeks of ppp server down and around 30 calls to Orange i was reconnected after threatening to cancel every Orange mobile contract in the house. I was only getting just under 1 meg for weeks and after loads more phone calls, all the stories about line tests eyc and heated conversations the speed increased to 1.8 meg. After looking into the livebox config it seems my line now seems to be capped @ 2 meg even though i should be on the 8 meg package Orange tell me that its down the line and the distance from the exchange but it was fine before the "upgrade or down grade" to LLU, and as for distance from the exchange i live next door and couldn't be any closer. As Orange give me different anwsers everytime i phone could someone take alook at my stats and tell me what you think.

You're right the exchange is very close by and you're getting a great signal through. Appears the line is perfectly capable of the full 8 meg however it's been limited to 2 meg for some reason. Unless there's been some previous problem then there's just no real explanation for the speed.
