For the last couple of months I have been able to log onto Orange's broadband ok and to send/receive email via POP3/SMTP but have been unable to log onto Orange's webmail or account pages.
Their "support" reps kept telling me to reconfigure Outlook! (To prevent me getting ANY emails?)
I use the same (cut & pasted) credentials to log in to broadband and POP3/SMTP as I attempted to use to log onto the webmail - all I get from wemail is MESSAGE=AUTH_FAILED and a message to the effect of "try typing correctly"
I want to use Orange webmail's filtering to dispose of most of the spam before it reaches my PC, rather than grabbing all the stuff by omitting the myname@ from the POP3 credentials.
Please tell me what obvious & stupid thing I'm doing ... or confirm that Orange have got it completely wrong again.
Roddy

All I have to do now is repair my ADSL link - I seem to have the dreaded MTU problem with my Speedtouch USB ... which is not being found by Dr TCP. Fortunately I now have a shiny new Draytek 2700G sitting at my feet ready to let loose on the world when I get home tonight.
