Following the Network outage on October 17th my Broadband has returned, but the link drops every 5 - 10 minutes - this makes normal use impossible. Technical Helpdesk is a waste of time - I don't need to hear someone (with English as a second language) running through a checklist.
Eventually got 'Customer Services' to confirm there was an ongoing problem at my local exchange - they said it would be fixed within 24 hours - it wasn't and the problem continues.

Siverwolf, I have the same problem starting from the same October outage and it's still ongoing. Following this outage my line returned at a variable speed of 2mbps up to 4.5mpbs, I pay for a standard 1mbps speed with a 2gb/pm dowmload restriction. Like you I found their Tech support to be just about useless, but one of them did suggest it might be a problem with the modem driver and I have improved things a bit by downloading an upgrade for my speedtouch modem so that it accepts higher speeds, only had it for 2 days so far but it does seem to have reduced the number of lost connections. Nice to know someone else has the same problem, I was beginning to think Orange were just picking on me.
my connection does occasionally cut off and i end up shouting at the modem for half an hour (lol)..... but its not that frequent. isps/web hosts/ other network services ALWAYS blame problems on the user's local side / a middle man.
