I thought that I would share this with you all.
Like everyone else I am totally fed up with the Orange connection. so I re-installed my Thompson Speedtouch modem just out of frustration and curiosity. As you can see the speeds have increased considerably so I am going to keep it connected until we know for certain that something has been done to rectify the connection and speed problems.

Did you reinstall the 8Mb/s-adapted isochronous-mode driver
or the old driver? Also, did you have to re-tweak anything you may
previously tweaked? I'm considering giving it a try too...

Yes I installed the ISO driver. I installed just as it came and didn't tweek anything.
