Had broad band wireless and talk for around 3 weeks. It worked for one day then the livebox stopped working. contacted the helpline and did all the tests and they said a new live box was needed and it would take 3 to 5 days. A week later and no live box, called again to be told they had sent me a rescue cd, much to my disgust as i had got one with the live box.
Did the rescue and it worked for a week and now the phone wont work when pluged into the filter with the live cable. I can get on line no problem, but the phone is just dead. However if i take the live box cable out of the filter the phone works fine through the filter. I have spoken to various people and wanadoo said it was a probable fault on the line, then a probable intermittent fault which would be done in 24 hours. That was over a week ago. On phoning again i was told their computers have gone down and my fault request was logged and they would have to start again. To this day i havent got a straight answer to my question of is there a fault or not. Phoned BT who did a line test and its fine and told me to contact Wanadoo. More calls to wanadoo, this time i was told i need a stronger filter and to get one from pcworld. I did this (at a cost of over £10) and still no joy. Yet another call to wanadoo and now they say the GAIN on my line is too strong and to get BT to lower it. Contact BT who say my gain cannot be turned down as its on the lowest setting(0).
I dont think the staff at the helpline know whats going on.
