I was browsing the forum as you do and the member known as stevelondon has the Danesoft.com signature that tellls you your ISP, OS, browser and IP Address.
According to the info in there, my IP address is correct, my browser is indeed Firefox, I am using Windows XP but my ISP is apparently Ernergis UK.

What's that all about then? Confused

I believe Orange use these for part of their backbone network.

We'll see about that when I put the legal wheels in motion. Laughing

I'm making minor progress.
Got an actual real life BT engineer coming to my home tomorrow. Very Happy

Still on 0.5 MEG though and the BT Speed Test confirms that is the line speed so something has been changed unless it's this 'training' that I've read about.
I've learnt so much in the last few days and I've found that talking techno-babble to the Orange call centres panics them into doing stuff.

Yes am on be* brilliant speeds and support its LLU yes and after leaving Orange i swore ide never go LLU again but i realised its just Oranges LLU thats crap im getting average speeds of between 17 and 18 megs on Be* adsl+2 LLU

I assume he's from, or at least familiar with. my local exchange.
I just checked my main socket. I found some excess wires in there. Shocked

Removed them and checked my cabling. All present and correct. No change from 0.5 MEG though.

I'll be calling Be in the next few days then.
