After having problems since last November which got a lot worse at the start of this month & 39 phone calls to Orange over the last 3 weeks only to be told something completely different every time I have just sent this email to watchdog and all the governing body's
I am paying for 8 meg broadband but since last November I have been getting 1/2 a meg at the start of this month I changed my package to unlimited in the hope it might improve instead it went down to dial up speeds I have spent Three weeks on the phone to Orange getting told different storeys by each different operator but always the same at the end give it twenty four hours and it will be ok and we will phone you back they never do, the next day you are told the same, unless its a Saturday then they say forty eight hours I have spent a lot of money phoning them I think that is why they don't fix it so you will keep phoning them and they can get money from you, please please help as it is now affecting my mental health
Sounds like you're in the same boat as many (I too am on half meg). If you read about here you can get better understand of your situation and also do a few checks to ensure that it is not your setup.
But have some comfort in the fact that you are not the only one suffering, so don't go all above crazy .
A consolation is to arm yourself with some knowledge, then call CS- get past the frontline agent and speak to an supervisor, then when hes done feeding you the same s***, demand you get the the money back spent on phone calls (you'll get it back in month/2 months free broadband).
I suggest to anyone who has racked up phone time to Orange to do this as well. It will appear on your statement as:
Goodwill Offer 01/03/2007 - 01/04/2007 -£ 19.990
Its not much, but its £20 which ISN'T going to Orange.
I would suggest just leaving, but to do that you have to pay out the rest of your contract- but some have has success without having to do so. I, personally am fed up with the s*** they feed you at CS, sick of the taste I no longer call them.
