Now that wanadoo have become Orange will there finally be some information about ADSL MAX. Some people like me dont have any LLU equipment at our exchange(Shoeburyness). I cant get cabl either so I am stuck with a max speed of 2mb. And it is really peeing me off, every other ISP offered ADSL MAX from the start(Besided AOL). Why do Orange have to be the awkward ones who keep lying about it.
Personally I think it's more to do with making sure the backend stuff to cope with ADSL Max works right, oh and that BT's systems aren't buggy too.
From what I've heard some people on ADSL Max, in general, are getting just the same problems described on here for LLU.
Some ways it pays to wait too, if they'd started upgrading customers and then had to delay due to the migration problems then it makes them look bad, even when they have BT to blame.
Well I wouldn't be surprised if BT were, very quietly, trialing ADSL 2+, which can go upto 24meg. It's the next step up from Max, Be have been running it for a while and I believe Orange already do this in france in order to run all their extra services.
After that I believe BT are looking at 21CN although I don't know details or speeds or anything, however I do know they've been trialing it for at least a year or two. BT are always slow to introduce new stuff.
