To my amazment it seems my 2.7 meg cap has been broken for the first time ever !!! Just downloaded several things at nearly 500 kbps instead of 300. Are any other users reporting abreaking of the 2.7 cap. Speedtests from various sites coming out at 3.7 - 4.1 meg. Im synced at 5.6 meg. Hopefully this is the start of an improvment for us all.

From your previous posts your exchange is Glossop in Derbyshire.
Just tested my speed coming back at 2.6 but mine comes up Orange Home UK PLC which I thought most LLU connections came up as. I note yours is Cable & Wireless.
This is the first post I have seen with speeds over 2.7 on Orange LLU.

Yes I am trust me. I find your comment rather insulting as I am well aware my ISP is Orange dispite the Cable and Wireless sign and Im also well aware im on LLU. I was one of the first to notice to 2.7 meg capping problem along with keith who has been excellent. It comes up Cable and Wireless for some people because its something to do with the backhaul provider for thier LLU from the exchange. This has been discussed before. Ive been with Oange/Wanadoo for 2 years and the 15th of September 06 was the day I was moved to LLU from 2 meg IP stream. just after recieving the letter.,
It seems you said the same to someone in a previous thread about not being on LLU. Bare in mind that the only possible combinations are Fixed speed IP stream eg 2272 , 288 upsteam, BT ADSL MAX up to 8 meg with 448 upstream or LLU upto 8 meg with 288 upstream. I am on the latter.
I qoute Elhana from another thread. "C&W are one of the back end networks Orange use for the service, previously known as Energis.
It seems half of the peoples LLu connections show up as C &W on this site.
Shows glenhill2409 with very good speeds and stats Rate (kbps) 8096 448 which would indicate that it is IPStream Max, yet the BT account says LLU. Possibly he should be on LLU, someone changed the details but did not actually change him over. Who knows but no one has come up with an answer.
Here snow 2004 is getting better speeds on LLU, yet Sheep454 thinks it might not be LLU - a view I was not sure about.
Nothing is as it appears to be but that would not be to Orange's benefit so is it them who are changing things to confuse the issue.
Orange appear to have no real input into this site - can that be true? If I was a PR for them I would not sit back and let them take all that is thrown at them.
I do not have the answers and it appears that Orange do not either. But surely they have not picked up their ball and gone home.
I presume that everyone who has read this thread has done a speed test - please can we have the results.
I note that Sheep454 speed is 2812 - how does that fit into the theory of never above 2700. Orange must be working on this problem somewhere.
BT still shows i am on LLU but my stats say otherwise as upload is 448 and get upto 6.7mb download. Says cease on 20th Feb and LLU provide on the same day but I don't think this happened.
