Looks like a typo, do you mean Orange enabled LLU? Most if not all Orange LLU exchanges are capped around 2.7meg.
It's a possibility that it's a typo. Any idea when the throttling back occurred? I used to get between 5-6mb/s DL's, now the max is 2.7mb's (ish)
------------------------------------------
On a closing note, when I asked an Orange agent about this earlier on the phone, they got quite rude, in a kind of "If you don't like it F off" and when I said I was he said "You won't have internet access for weeks" I put the phone down as I thought joke lines began with 0898 not 0870 or 01642.
Pocket, Oranges LLU network has ALWAYS given top speed 2.7 megs or below.
The fact that you was getting 5-6meg suggests you was on ADSLMAX, but your exchange got upgraded and they switched you to the inferior LLU network where you get your current speed now.
This is normal behavior for Orange. Any exchanges which does not have Orange LLU equipment will be put onto ADSLMAX, until that exchange is enabled, they then shove you onto LLU.
Ironically, you should count yourself lucky, you are on the top end of speed for LLU, unlike some which are STILL on half meg speeds.
Some people are enjoying ADSLMAX, but its only a matter of time before everyone is LLU'ed, hope you made the best of 6megs cause you won't be getting it on LLU. Sorry.
Is it only a matter of time b4 all of us are "LLU'D" ?
I don't think it can possibly be worthwhile for Orange to install their own kit in small (~1000 subscriber exchanges) - at least I hope not!!!!

Yes, it is only a matter of time before everyone is LLU, just like everyone is on Be* (without the good service).
Despite you being on an exchange serving a few people, every little bit helps when it comes to saving money and maximizing profit (I think this should be Orange's new slogan). It also serves to be 'ready' should the demand in your area increase. Make the best of it now.
So its a matter of saving little now, in the hope of saving more in the future- bit like ASDA but the opposite way round
