So switching ISPs fixes this? Anyone actually done it yet?
i'm getting that as well. since saturday.
the problem is at Orange's end - i've been a freeserve broadband user for years before this muppet of a fiasco of a "company" took over. utterly pathetic.

Yup, just want to take advantage of the experiance of someone here who had it and switched. Looking for a "yes I had this and switching ISP's fixed it" or "Yes I switched but it didn't fix the error" Worried that this problem, though born of Orange's ineptitude might follow me to the new ISP, and that means wasted money!

I had a multitude of problems wihen it changed to Orange which they insisted was all at my end and told me if i switched i will get the same problem by a retention agent i politely told him to get away from this dire service ille risk it,, i insisted on a MAC code (long story) in the end had to go to the ISPA to get the MAC off them anyway when i changed providers to idnet all my problems miraculously disappeared and never had a problem since. Nothing had changed at my end just the ISP and my phone bill reduced considerably too.
Regards
