My story is much the same as most of you, although not as bad as some. Whilst I had connectivity most of the time, it dropped out too often and the speed was inconsistante. The last straw was the inability of the tech support team to deal correctly with my fault. I atempted to log the fault via email as I simply refused to call the support number again. Their first reply requested speed tests etc, which I imediatley responded with (having been logging these for about a week). Their second reply was asking me to call their tech support. I wrote back and told them if they couldn't log the fault via email, then the only call I would be making would be to disco.
To this I had no relpy so, I had Virgin Media installed a couple of weeks ago and last week I called up Orange and politly told them what they could do with my account. Gave my 30 day notice, not without an argument from one of the retentions guys (prick) but at last I am free.
It saddened me as I had been with them for many years, from dial up to BB. Until Orange took over I had had no problems. I told them this when I disco'd. Great feeling. Quite proud of myself for not swearing at them as well )
VM has been rock solid so far. I'm only on the 2Mb but the through put is great both up and down. I can now play poker without the dropouts. More importantly, the wife can play and I'm not getting moaned at because of Orange - woo hooooooo
Good luck all, Vote with your feet. I did and its great )
