Although I have had my LiveBox working (since December 2006) and LiveTalk enabled successfully (since February 2007), is anyone miffed about the so-called 'ring' tone that emanates from the phone when the LiveTalk number has been dialed by someone?
It is nothing short of a high pitched scream of one of the so-called Orange expert helpdesk customer care service engineers being strangled far far away in India by the numerous disgruntled owners of Liveboxes.
Anyone who has ideas or information and wishes to impart knowledge about changing this ring tone will be gratefully acknowledged.
the livebox cant change the actual ring tone of your phone, have you tried another phone to see if it does this??? as i work in one of their call centres and i have never herd of this issue before
No it is not a DECT phone - just a normal run of the mill handset. I am going to be changing it soon anyway so it might fix the nuisance problem. Thanks for all the help.
This has got something to do with the electrics inside the box, i am aware.
It's rather simple, some phones will work. Others wont.
It would appear, whilst browsing the internet, alot of users are having this problem.
It's to do with the voltage at which the livebox sends out a ring signal down the line to the phone/base station.
I'm currently experiencing the same problem, and would love to hear from anyone who has any success in fixing this issue, apart from buying a bloody new phone.
And if you have a phone system which works OK with it, would you be as kind as to let us know? At least we wont buy another one, which doesnt work.
