I am having the same problems as everyone else here but can someone please explain something for me?
Having spent another half hour on the phone this evening i decided to put my old speedtouch modem back on and the icon in the tool bar is saying my speed is 1.3Mbps but the speed tests i have done on DSL Zone UK still say my down is 128 kbps and my up is 380kbps. Can someone please explain what this means as i am getting so confused now having spent 3 years happily on 1meg with wanadoo and now having all sorts of problems since Orange sent me a livebox as compensation for not upgrading me as they promised me over a year ago?!
Any advice would be welcome and thanks

It means you're on an ADSL Max connection and it's probably the profile the BT system at the exchange has your line on limiting the speed. During the first 10 days the speed can and will vary while it works out whats best for the line. Also it should upgrade that profile either within 3 days or at the end of the 10 days providing the connection is stable.
Thanks for the message Elhana but the speed was changeable when i first installed livebox but now is a constant 130kbps its all very confusing
