Having been a loyal Orange customer right from freeserve days in 2002, the service deteriorated in 2006 with the new LLU service claiming 8mb BT in fact never going above 2mb and being down more than up. After many months of pointless and fruitless telephone calls, emails etc which cost a great deal in cash and even more in stress whilst talking to braindead morons that would never make the grade a MacDonalds, ( I reaaly dont know how they can fill their call centres with such people, perhaps they carry out a lobotomy on each new starter). Eventually I realised that it was a lost cause and had telewest installed in my home, a service that is faultless. I then transferred my paid Orange account onto a free one due to me having an Ornage mobile account. The Orange started working and did work, very slowly, for some months. Three weeks ago it went off, then on then ofdf and has remained mainly off but sometimes on and when on, so slow that it is comparble to dial up.
I have phoned Orange, a week ago, then after going through pointless PC tests they confirm it is faulty. Tell me to call back in 24 hours. 24 hours later I call back, guess what, told to call back in 24 hours. Call again, yes, youve guessed itm, but this time 48 Hrs. And so it goes on. A week now, and no Orange Broadband.
What do I do? Do I have any case against them in view of the fact that its free (but tied to a phone contract)?
Any advice appreciated. I am loathe to simply write off Orange as though my telewest service has been faultless to date, i would like both as a back up.
You know what I could not have typed that any differently. Thats exactly what happened to me!
When they tell you to ring back in 24hours I feel like murdering the lot of them. Orange is a complete waste of space and how in the year 2007 they can get away with it is beyond me!!
Does no one care that thousands upon thousands of people are getting ripped off left right and centre.
My internet is working again now, well intermittent I keep getting a "username and password authentication error"
