I have a 2nd Pc with Vista and a netgear wireless adaptor (NETGEAR WG111v2) and am trying to connect it to the live box.
First of all the 1st Pc is working fine with the Livebox.
My second PC can see the network, I have followed all Oranges instructions, changed security to WPA only and put in pair mode. (I managed to get all the error messages they said I would). However now I get an error saying the connection failed because windows did not receive any reponse from the router. Any ideas?
One other thing I did manage to connect it yesterday and it worked fine, how I did this I am not sure as I did mess round with all setting I could get my hands on. But I am now spent 3 hours trying all the setting again and now don't know what to do.
Therefore after much more messing around I now have it set up as per Orange's instructions.

UNABLE TO CONNECT WITH WIRELESS:
Press Button 1 on Livebox so the wifi light flashes. This puts livebox into pairing mode and you have 10 minutes to try and connect your wireless device . This only needs to be done once and then you should be able to connect every time .
I had to change security on Livebox to WEP only.
WEP key is case sensitive.
If security is an issue WPA is more secure, try WPA only.
You could also try Changing the channel. One recommended to try is channel 9.
Another issue is if there are 2 programmes on the computer that you are trying to connect trying to control the wireless. Turn of the programme that came with the wireless card and use XP to control the connection.
I have managed to get connected again, it appears I just have to leave my PC to its own devices for 15 mintues and it eventually connects, if I am impatient I get the message saying there is no response.
However having seen I can join Sky broadband for a tenner I am considering that, anyone know of any issues with Sky and vista?
