Cable and Wireless aren't a real ISP anymore, they do backend network stuff, they took over Energis which Orange have used for a long time.
So would this confirm that I am on LLU ?
My exchange is listed as upgraded to 8Mb, while I seem to get a fixed 2Mb, when friends and neighbours living within 100 yards of me on other ISP's are getting speeds of 6.5Mb. I have not found any information to confirm the exchange is Orange LLU, so could this be the proof and my comparable slower speed be down to the issues with LLU detailed on other posts in this forum ?
which confirmed that I was switched to LLU on 6th Feb.
My current speed of 2Mb is the fastest I have had, so maybe I should consider myself lucky.
I upgraded from the 1Mb to the upto 8Mb in October last year, as soon as Orange offered me a faster speed and I have had a 2Mb connection since, but I know neighbours who are getting over 3 times the speed I am getting.
