Hi. I was wondering if you guys can clear up something for me.
My Exchange is not LLU. But i am recieving 8.1Mbps. Or this it what is shows as connecting as. I am really confused why it is showing this when my exchange is LLU. I not moaning i just confused.

Sounds like your sync speed. This is the speed at which the line is set and not the download speed. To get your download speed you will need to do a speedtest. There are various around.

You can confirm your sync speed by checking your router stats.

My Router also says 8.1Mbps. None of my other friends around the village can get 8MEG. i dont no if its becuase i live near the exchange.

You need to do a speedtest to get your current line speed, many on the net. Post the stats when done.

Both LLU and ADSL Max can sync at 8 meg, it's the upload speed by which you can tell them apart. LLU the upload won't go over 288kbps where as Max goes upto 448kbps.

Thats what i got from speed test.
Why does it say my ISP is cabel and wireless. ? :S

I had to post this i did a test straight after and results are totaly different.

It says Cable and Wireless I would imagine as they provide the authentication servers to Orange. For a reliable speed test I would recommend thinkbroadband.com
