My other half uses Orange Broadband. She originally signed up with Freeserve and has seen them change to Wanadoo and now to Orange.
I invited her to lunch by email on Thursday from my Google email account using a mail client on my MAC. The mail was returned undelivered. Today I sent her another email and yet again it was returned undelivered. The following blurb was at the top of the message: -
I tried to send a mail from Hotmail and it got through no problem.
So what is the issue? Was I unlucky with the time or are they anti-Google or what?
As an aside, I used to teach IT up here in Shetland. I too signed up with Freeserve and then went to Wanadoo, but I gave up on them in the end as they would constantly change the access numbers for dial up. I would ring tech support and they would deny it. They couldn't get it through their heads that if one day I rang and got the modem squealing sounds and then the next day I got the recorded voice telling me that the number I had called was not recognised, and I had done nothing to my computer, then they must have changed the access numbers. I would ask them for a different access number and usually after about four calls to tech support they would give me one that worked. If it was a strategy to sell broadband it certainly worked as most of my colleagues, so fed up with losing their connection every month went to broadband. I decided just to pull the plug on them and go elsewhere for my services. In my household Wanadoo became known as Wana(but)don't.
