I think its safe to say, the majority of users of any broadband package of any ISP will be in the "Downloads more than 10 meg". The nature of the net has evolved way beyond the "odd bit of research". Users of You.Tube, myspace and other similar sites can easily clock up 10 megs in a day, also legitimate downloading like mp3s- it'll only take about 5 songs to beat the 10 meg mark.
On a side note, it will be very interesting what will happen in the future. Services which involve alot of downloading e.g. television, demand the bandwidth, and the current fair usage polices and limits of 30-50 gigs will be tested. Either they will have to change these accordingly, or well the service will underperform...
the point im making is that say for instance you are downloading mp3's your looking at about 3-5MBs so this would come under the 10MB mark and if your downloading movies as an example you would be looking at about 700MB which would be over 10MB
well i have tested the download limits when posible but the way i see it if Orange can break there terms and conditions then so can i.
When downloading complete series of programs ie like ( charmed for the missus ) that was a total of 9.5 gig and thats just one series theres another 7 to go yet its quite easy to push well over the limits
