Hi All
Having had probs since early Feb with migration from 2 to 8meg on broadband, I told the customer service/escalation team that I wanted to cancel. Response was, 'so you want to give 30 days notice?' I said no, you've broken contract, no service, no help from customer service etc etc so I'm cancelling direct debit.
Response was fine but it'l take 30 days and then poss further 10 days to remove 'tag' from line.
What does this mean? Does it mean I cannot get another provider in for 40 days? If so is there anyway around it?

People on here know more than me but i believe you can now ring up and they have to give you a MAC in 5 days enabling you to leave, if you are successful in doing this let us know ,im waiting for BE in 8 weeks then i am off too. oh and Orange if you read this tell nelson in the indian call centre or was it james or andrew i forget,that you can do a thinkbroadband speed test whilst they are on the phone to you,and it is also as i told them impossible for my internet explorer 7 cookies to go to my exchange and turn my sync speed of 2272 down to 608kbs a second thanks because i am not dealing with them ever again.
