Hi all,

I rang Orange to ask for my MAC code over 2 weeks ago - really only because of price not had any problems with my broadband for years. Before I was given it a guy offered me an upgrade to 8MB and a new price of £12.99 (and a new 12 month contract) which I went for.

My line is not LLUed so I presume I will go onto the ADSL Max service. He said it could take up to 10 working days but guess what no line speed upgrade. What are the chances of me now getting my MAC code (bearing in mind I have not been upgraded) - will my new contact have started or does the 30 day period apply with a new contract?

i would of thought that you have accepted the upgrade but nothing was done, contact them and ask them for an update
