Interesting thread i started off with Freeserve which then was a good ISP then Wanadoo took over was ok for a while then in dec 2005 i was LLUed thats when the problems started for me then the TS started going downhill then they changed to Orange how a change of name can make a company get even worse is beyond me and as many on this forum and other forums will agree it got a lot lot worse thats when i decided to leave even their free months and reduction in subscription couldnt persuade me to stay and as the norm Orange made it very difficult for me to leave eventually after the ISPA intervention even though i was well out of contract i got a LLU MAC i migrated to IDNet a brilliant ISP free support on BT IPstream max the expert tech support was a breath of fresh air compared to Orange TS my problems disappeared instantly and never had a problem since i eventually decided to migrate to be* LLU adsl+2 (it took just 2 hours to get a MAC emailed to me from IDNet) purely cos of speed and they also have a good reputation and a 3 month contract and again a big difference too, their tech support is excellent if you want your snr margin lowered for faster speeds or interleaving off or on its done instantly, as usual its down to Oranges greediness not training their agents properly but shoving a script in front of them, and in my experience with Orange they can't even cope with normal LLU let alone adsl+2 you really would have thought with the money they rake in for their so called "unlimited " and "free" broadband and locking people in a 12 month contract they could at least train their staff properly and give the customers who pay good money a half decent support and service.
