I was on dial up with Freeserve and with Wanadoo and never had any problems. I got my mail fine (and it wasn't delayed for hours) and I didn't get booted off line after ten minutes.
Now it's Orange the service is appalling. I can't hold a connection, I've had to reset my mail servers back to Wanadoo to be able to access mail - and do they care? No.
Last week I gave up and despite hoping to move soon I made arrangements to have cable installed for internet only (I don't watch tv) ... when I rang Orange to give them a month's notice to cancel they asked, rather disinterestedly, why I was cancelling.
On being told that their service was absymal and their orangehome mail servers didn't work the guy said, "yes, a lot of people have said that."

I've been paying £14.99 a month for dial up with Orange - I'm going to be paying £10.00 a month for broadband with Virgin. I'm just glad I never had Orange broadband!!
