It seems that you can get as far as level Three in that menu then you're given a premium rate number with the assurance that at 50p per minute "calls won't last for longer than an hour"
I'm not sure you can bypass premium rate numbers. 0870's are usually non-geographic numbers that divert. Plus either there'd be many angry companies if you could bypass the high cost and so BT didn't pay them their cut or BT would be mightily annoyed by being short changed by paying out when not getting the money coming in.

Yes, they did support my MAC till September 26th when the service was 'improved' - not I can't access websites. I'm having to borrow a neighbour's wireless network to write this.
Does anyone know why web access is such a problem for Macs on Orange?

CSO-Central.com
1) click on your wireless icon by the clock
2) click on Livebox
3) Enter WEP key from the bottom of livebox all caps no spaces, hexidecimal (letters A-F numbers 0-9)
4) press button 1 on the livebox
5) click connect on the MAC, wireless icon should go black to show connected
6) open browser type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, press enter
7) click "access the configuration pages" type "ADMIN" for username and password, click ok
Click "My Services" then "Internet", enter your Orange login details, click validate
9) check adsl status says "connected"
If that doesn't work make an ethernet connection follow steps 6-9 then on the configuration pages go to Configuration --> Advanced --> Wireless and try all four security options and repeat steps 1-5. you can copy and paste the WEP key by going to Security --> Wireless
Failing all that try your luck with Tech support if you get lucky and get the UK many of us know how to do Macs
