I have had Wanadoo / Orange for a month and then the ADSL stopped (@ light flashing, PPP server down) Support told me that the server was at fault and they had to escalate. 7 days later and still no one can tell me what is wrong and the call centre can only read off the screen, they can not call the team they escalate to.
I was told the 8 meg turned into 2 meg and then without notice they dropped me down to 1 meg. (I was with Bulldog for a year and had 6 meg without any issues).
I said if I had known this I would never have signed up, but the answer "was we can do that it is in your T&C's
I asked for a manager and was told they can do that and it would not matter anyway as they do not work for Orange they are an outsource !!!
I said I should have been told and given an option to continue and again was told "so long as it is more than 512 kbs they have met their obligation". That fact that I get nothing at the moment would not come in to it.
I asked how long could it take to get service back and the answer was "it could be less that 24 hours...or it could be more than 24 hours"
I am now trying to buy myself out of the remaining 11 months as I have my self respect.
Got through t o customer care (tell them you want to cancel and you get customer care) explained to them everything and they have cancelled the account FOC.
I was on 2 mb for a year and a half with no problem i am now on half a meg they lied and said my line cannot handle 2 meg,8 weeks to BE on my exchange i will buy out of the contract just to get rid of them.
