Hi people wanted to just share my Orange experiences with you. Both my brother and I have the Livebox setup with broadband unlimited, For the first week things were flying downloads were superb. Then after a week it all went wrong - less that 1mg dloads - generally just crashing, and the only way to get the connection back was to turn the livebox on and off again. I spoke to Orange - they did their usual it`s your line blah blah.
Now i know this was rubbish, cause i`d been with my previous ISP Nildram for 3 years with no problesm at all, stupidly i swapped to Orange. Just as an experiment i disconected the live box and put my old speedtouch modem back in - and voila - 6-7Mb download - left the machine on for 24hrs - no cut out no drop in speed. My brother has done the same and since then, no problems. I think the fault is the comunniction between the livebox and the hardware that Orange are using. To be honest if the service carries on as it is, i`ll carry on using my old modem. Thought i`d share that with eveeryone..... Orange are tossers though!
