Old problem is fixed, i changed it to WPA only and changed it to channel 13 and its working but.... it worked for a day and then i turned my laptop off, and it disconnected. It tries to reconnect but just stays on aqurring network address.. what do i do?
Are you using Windows WLAN connection software or the Wireless card manufacturers software?
I ask because i was using netgear software and when i went to WPA instead of WEP and i also got connection and no ip address resolution.
I stopped using the netgear software logged in using windows software and after entering the WPA key in the windows software i got connection and assigned an ip address.
Then after that i could use the Netgear software again...it seemed for me i could only connect via WPA if both the Windows client and Netgear Client had the WPA key entereed.
Might have been coincidence as doesn't make sendse to me why it should work like that....but hey give it a go it worked for me..on 2 machines infact.
