Great service(sarcasm), disconnects upto 8 times an hour......customer support velly useless, numorous line tests done with no fault found, wired or wireless just drops any ideas?
are you at your main BT socket using the RJ11 cable that Orange provided???
have you tried swapping filters around?
what time of day is it disconnecting, is it all the time or only at peak hours?
what does the @ light do when it disconnects?
if the answer to the first 2 is yes, and the last one is flashing fast, then its a line issue. Although you could ask them to send out a usb modem to see if its the livebox that is doing it, they can send those free of charge
Have tried on main socket and with every other phone etc unplugged. There doesn't seem to be any particular pattern to it ie incoming calls dont knock it etc, it just seems to be the box itself rebooting itself when it feels like it(sometimes as often as every 10 mins).
Have now been advised by tech support that it must be either power supply or the livebox itself at fault. They are supposed to be sending me a new one to see if that cures it so i'll keep you posted.
yes, if the livebox is resetting itself, just tell them that it is doing this and they should send you a livebox, dont settle for a power supply, as it is the livebox
yes they will, they done it too me!! I was an early freeserve customer, and was still using the speedtouch 330 (how i miss it), i was upgraded to 8mb from 2mb for free, so they say, coz i was still being charge £27.99 a month up until dec 06!!!!!!!!!11111
Orange give me a free month, I had no internet for 2! Since the speed upgrade and livebox, my connection barley exists. I have eleven months of this left
Nah that wll be because you upgraded to the next packahe with the livebox, so your contract gets renewed... anyway Orange zrdnt gonna send me a new livebox unless i got throug hteh pointless diagnostics ive been through 3 times already and go nowhere with, only option now is to leave, get a decent isp
No i really didnt want a 12mnth contract, believe me!! I had no option but to accept the livebox. Tech support said, they dont support the speedtouch 330, thats why am getting problems. Ayways I wish u luck sheep, maybe i'll join ur ISP
