Hello this is my first post, on 12th feb i was supposedly upgraded to upto 8meg and since have mainly been getting dial up speeds, numerous calls to Orange later ,who dont seem to have a clue ,i was eventually transferred to their provisioning dept who tell me i was indeed upgraded to 2 meg ,I was already on that with thier max package and gettng faster more stable speeds ,however i have discovered that they have moved me to LLU without my prior knowledge,i have now written to them demanding that they return me to my original status. i have posted my ADSL stats below which i think shows i should be able to receive upto 8 megs on my line but Orange insist my line only supports 2 meg can any one enlighten me

Your wasting your time "Doublemint" i had EXACTLY the same problems and it was blatantly obvious that they had no clue whatsoever how to solve the problems, (AND STILL DONT) i think you will find if you read through a lot of posts in here you will realise just how many people Orange have done this to without even asking if they could move their customers to LLU.
I cancelled my so called contract as they could not provide me with any connection, (although a week earlier they did say they would cancel it free of charge if they could not provide the service....LYING B****RDS) I had constant disconnections AT LEAST 3 times every minute but according to them there wasnt a problem !!! This is what you will be up against. They now expect me and im sure LOTS of others to pay for something they could not provide..... i dont think so Orange !
I think its about time that ISPA, and Trading Standards got to grips with this and sorted out Orange cos it is obvious their "technical" people have not got a clue, only read from "scripts" and promise the earth and dont act upon it.
3 times i was told a line test would be done, it appears the first time they didnt even do it....
GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN AND GO TO AN ISP WHO CARES AND WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH WHAT YOUR PAYING FOR
