after 4 weeks of problems Orange have agreed i can cancel my account with them with no fee....i have been getting slow broadband, 0.9mb in the day 0.5mb in the evening and weekends, according to Orange tech i can only get 1mb....according to BT broadband i can get 5mb....not sure which is correct but my question is....if i change to BT broadband will i get 1mb or faster...i want 1mb thats all i really need...but will i get the same slow connection as i did with Orange.....is it different with BT, is it oranges system at fault or the exchange or line...thanks.
It is Orange's fault. They always blame slow speed on your phone line and BT.
I got out and went from a connection that was 1/2 at tops and dis-connected most of the time then permanently for 2 weeks.
Moved to Idnet and with the same BT line that supposedly had a faults I instantly got 4 MB connection.
I have never lost the connection in 6 months with them, not once.
