My 8M Livebox has died and I would like to replace it will an alternative unit that is smaller but has exactly the same functionality. I'm running on my old Speedtouch unit at present and although this is reliable and capable of 8M speeds it cannot provide me with a Free landline phone which is available on the Livebox £27.99 pm service.
Until Orange bring out a new livebox at some point the answer is no. No doubt they will ready for ADSL 2+ services and with improvements over the now pretty old livebox.
You can get routers that can use other VOIP services like Orange's but none will work with Orange as they have it all closed off to their own hardware.
