I was thinking about leaving BT so i can get unlimited downloads at a reasonable cost (BT want £38 inc. phone rental for unlimited) but after looking at this forum im really havin second thoughts. Iv been with BT for two years without a single glitch and im nearly always getting 5.5mb which is the max for my line. Is anyone on Orange having no problems and reliable connection or is this just not the site to find them?

My connection is sound. Never had any problems and average 5 to 6 meg downloads. Took 3 months to get talk service working properly. Tech/Customer Support did not have a clue. In the end managed to resolve myself. Orange is ok when things are going well. Its when it goes wrong and you need to use their customer/tech support that you see how woefull it is. Don't need to tell you that though as I'm sure youve seen plenty of other posts to that effect here.
I have a very stable connection and get 6-6.5mb. You have to realise about forums like this, they are for people who have problems. Every ISP will have customers who have problems.
I am on the Unlimited package and have no problems with the Talk service, it's good quality. I have set the Livebox up for liveprinter and can print from any networked pc/laptop.
As the above few posts state - there are some connections that work with them.
When things go wrong though they just do not give a damn.
All you get is excuses, lies, 'ring back in 48 hours' etc etc.
They are a disgrace - speaking from my own experience.
Also this site was setup to alert people of their incompetence.
It has thousands of posts where people have experienced nightmares with Orange.
Do yourself a favour and stay with an ISP, don't move to a bunch of non-caring liars.

Is that LLU or Max?
No, ADSLMax. Would'nt go anywhere near Orange LLU. They buy in cheap and do not have the technical expertise to support it. Orange LLU comes to my exchange and theres a hint of a migration I'll be off to someone with Max.

I doubt if you will know it's coming - LLU suddenly arrives and Orange do not publish which exchanges they are doing.
Hmm! seems conclusive!
i only thought of Orange coz its cheap but one thing would seriously p**s me off is lack of customer service- its the reason i never took
above post is coz my 4 year old thought he would send my unfinished post when i went to toilet
as i was saying -i never took NTL 2 years ago was coz their customer service was bad so i went with BT but they cant give me better than 5.5mb and now NTL have improved i mite take their 10mb (cable)for £35.
My mate usually has films off the p2p at 6ookbps and best iv had with BT is 190kbps (4 hours for one movie) so i think it will be NTL .
I cant even say about BT customer service coz i aint needed it but a a mate who has it and used it say they are good. Either way sounds like i will avoid Orange
