Hi
I connected my Livebox last December and only this week got the Live Talk activated after a lot of hassle. However, tonight ALL lights on the Livebox are lit up and my main PC it is wired up to fails to boot up. Can anyone out there offer some advice on what is going on? My suspicion is that the Livebox is undergoing a firmware update but not too sure. Is it worth rebooting the Livebox?
Although our 2 other laptops are connected, we still cannot connect to the configuration page of the LiveBox.
Many thanks for the advice. This morning there was only a single light on the dreaded LiveBox and my PC (it is wired to), managed to reboot successfully. I rebooted the LiveBox as well and all seems to be fine.
Just one query left:>
In the configuration pages where you can see the LiveBox firmware version and an 'update' button, does that mean that the LiveBox has already been updated or do we have to press the 'submit' button to update possibly downloaded firmware?
My current Livebox version is : INVENTEL version : v5.08.2-uk
Thanks for the speedy response. When the LiveBox firmware is being downloaded, does it take out the PC/laptop it is wired up to? When this was happening last night, my PC would not boot up and I thought it had a 'boot sector error' but as I stated above, it booted up ok this morning.
No, it shouldn't do that. it should just disconnect you from the internet for the period of the download and update. it then reboots your modem, your pc shouldn't be affected.
