By default pretty much every wireless router, the livebox included, broadcasts the SSID. AFAIK you can't turn this off as such as it doesn't have the option to do that like newer routers. You can however change the name it does broadcast, even set it to a space I believe.

Really it's not going to make a huge amount of difference, anyone who had the software to get through the WEP/WPA security shouldn't have trouble with an invisibile SSID. It's more a show of intent. A broadcast to your neighbours saying "I know my stuff, don't even bother". Most of the time there's much easier targets for them to go for.
