8 attempt to get dacs removed
9 be told only user can request removal
10 be told only isp can request removal
11 argue this for 14 days
12 get isp to say that since rules changed the day before? they will request removal of dacs
13 recieve modem but flashing adsl light
14 agree to line tests for 14 days
15 recieve new modem
16 agree to line tests for 14 day
17 find out from local BT engineer connected to tpon (fibre)
18 told only user can request copper overlay
19 ring BT to be given a date 2 years in the future
20 argue this for 14 days
21 persuade local BT engineer to request copper overlay
22 prove to Orange now got copper overlay and no dacs
23 watch flashing adsl light for 14 days
24 tell Orange that every user on the estate has had to have an engineer change the connections in the exchange as dslam connected wrong
25 argue this for 14 days
25 swear at Orange customer action team when told modem drivers at fault and get engineer booked for next day
25 get BT engineer to connect Orange dslam correctly in exchange took 14 minutes - green adsl light now solid and connecting at 2.2mb
so quiet straight foward really
will explain another day how fault reporting actually works as i do a similar job involving myself third parties and BT/openreach
