Is anyone else having problems? News collection, collection from other POP3 boxes, web browsing etc is all ok, yet according to http://help.orange.co.uk/categ...yBrowse.do , everything should be OK?

Yes - I still have a Freeserve email address and neither of us here can access email this evening .

Its saying that it cannot find the server. I have also tried to retrieve the account online and it can't do that either - and its the same on Outlook and Outlook Express. So I think its at their end...

Yes, I first noticed email problems yesterday.
Both pop and smtp seem to be down for me.
My webmail inbox has stayed uncharacteristically empty.
Even the spam ain't making it.

Thankfully I only use them for the email account and I use another SMPT.

If anyone else is having the same problems or no problems at all it may be useful to know

Yes I was having problems too until about five minutes ago when it suddenly started working again. I'm using Outlook Express.

I think they have a general problem - I have to keep changing my server between orangehome.co.uk, freeserve.net and wanadoo.co.uk to send emails.

You can normally find one of their servers working.

Server Settings

email server: POP3
pop server (incoming): pop.orangehome.co.uk
smtp server (outgoing): smtp.orangehome.co.uk
secure password authentication: no

using this option has overcome my problems this evening but the bunch of halfwits still can sort out my access to mysite to allow me to update my website.
