Ok i dunno if this is going to make any sense but, here goes..

I decided to try using my old d-link router, which i love as it has loads of advanced options and stuff, and also allows me to make my wireless a lot more secyre.. but.. it seems to be disconnecting at least every 5-10 mins... and my SNR is about 1-3... sometimes its 6, but that doesnt last long... yet i get about 7.7 with my livebox, so my question is..

Can i use my livebox to provide the internet, so it doesnt keep dc'ing, but use my d-link for the adfanced options and stuff?...

Technically yes, some can just plug them together and it works but it depends on the hardware itself.

Well i think i'll give it a go tomorrow and see what happens, from what i can gather if i jsut set the non livebox router to "Bridged" mode it should work... hopefully..
