Hi,
I have noticed over the last week that when i ring 150 from my Orange handset I get the usual 2 options for mobile or internet. Once I select internet the only 2 options now are 1. To register for free broadband or 2 Technical help. I don't want to select 1 as I am already an Orange internet customer and if i press 2 I get told I am being charged at the natinoal rate?
I always thought ringing from an Orange handset was free to customer support.
Anyone else notice this and know if you do get charged?
Dialling 550 from your handset (free) gets you through to a department that deals in mobiles and internet, but you've only got access to this if you're a "converged" customer, ie you have a mobile and free broadband. No IVR either.
I'm not sure what they'd do if you called that number and you weren't converged. Transfer or ask you to redial I assume. It's worth a try.

I have noticed this and I think, (don't quote me) but I 'm sure technical support is about £7.5 a min. -------->something ridiculous like that.........this is Orange we're taking about here!
Phone calls can't charge more than £1.50 a minute in the UK, unless they take payment details at the beginning of the call and bill you for whatever time and rate it ends up as.
Anyway currently Orange only use the 50p a minute lines, nothing costing more, for starter tech support and dialup tech support.
