Sorry to start a new topic but I can't find the answer to my problem, which is this...

Installed the Livebox wired to the main PC, its online and I can access the internet fine.
It didn't connect at all on the laptop, just acquiring network address for ages, then limited connectivity.
Tried turning off the security (as the guide here said) and it connected! Great so Im getting there Smile

Changed to WPA encryption, and now heres my specific problem...
Where do you enter the WPA key into the livebox config?
Can't see it anywhere! All I can see is WEP key under the Wireless setup?
Tearing my hair out....

As well as Orange telling me that the livebox isn't wireless as standard and I had to buy a dongle thingy for 25 quid which I don't need at all do I

Any help would be appreciated, cheers Very Happy

I typed in the WEP key on the bottom of the Livebox with WPA security selected and it worked for me !

(What I mean is it gave me a connection that works).

The WEP key in the livebox config and on the sticker ought to be labelled "security key" as it works for both WPA and WEP depending on what security mode you have it set to.

Thanks for the help, but I'm still getting the acquiring network address problem, and then limited or no connectivity.

Again sounds like security.
Try setting the livebox to WEP only, might as well copy the WEP key from the pages too while you're there, see if that helps.

I'd copied the WEP key down wrong, had an extra E in there

Changed it to what it should be and voilla it worked...
Another couple of hours wasted, still I guess we live and learn.
This might actually help someone else having the same problems, copy the key down into notepad, then copy & paste into the WEP/WPA box.
