Phoned Orange last Thursday for a MAC code. I Was told it would be with me in 48 Hours. Phoned again on Sunday to ask where is was and was told it is 48 working hours so expect it on Monday. Just phoned again now and I was told they were unable to generate a MAC code so they have emailed provisions directly and I should get it in a day or 2. My line is not LLU or anything like that so I can't see the problem
Anyone have any suggestion? Does this sound correct?

If they dont give you your MAC go to the ISPA fill out a an online complaints form, Orange tried that with me after my complaint my MAC was emailed to me within 2 hours.
From february they wont be able to stop or delay you having one.

Thanks - I have put in a complaint this morning hopefully that will resolve it
Got my MAC code from Orange but now Sky are telling me they will not accept it because they don’t accept LLU codes. However, I wasn’t LLUed! What should I do now?

To move to Sky you will have to cancel your Orange broadbans account wait 10 days ish then you can order Sky but you will then be liable for a activation fee,
there are plenty of other good ISP's that take LLU MACs.

I would agree, however my line is NOT LLU so why would Orange give me a LLU MAC, I don't think they have, is there any way of telling?

If your line isnt LLUed then u need to ring and ask them if they mistakenly gave you the wrong one if it is a mistake that is its not unknown for Orange to make it as difficult as possible to leave
