My problem is that I agreed to upgrade to a 8Mb Max/Talk Unlimited package, but now I can check my account again I find I have been put on a 8Mb Max/Talk with a 2GB download guidance.
I've been with WannaFreeOrange for ages now, first Anytime and then 512Kb unlimited.
I decided it was time to move to 8Mb max and researched the market, including reading a lot of this forum.
As my rural exchange is not LLU and I'm less than half a mile from it (and I have relatives in S Africa that it would be nice to be able to call free) - I decided that if Orange would offer me a good deal on Max/talk unlimited it would be worth taking a chance with their Max offering.
I rang and enquired about getting a MAC code and was put through to cancellations who offered Max/talk for £12.99, I checked and double checked that this was Unlimited (FUP understood) and agreed to the change.
My livebox arrived last Tuesday and I set it up straight away, Wednesday morning at 6am my line was upgraded. Speeds started at 1500-2400 and have gradually increased to around 4800 today, so all is going to plan on that side for now.
I've not received any emails at all from Orange throughout this process (I haven't received any emails from Orange since November)
I rang them the other day to register an alternate email so I would be able to get my Talk activation, then the CS guy gave me the happy news that Talk couldn't be activated automatically (serial numbers don't match) and I would be put on a list for manual activation.
I'm a heavy user, not excessive, my estimate is 5 - 10GB most months with occasional months over 20GB.
What should I do next? I have absolutely nothing in writing and wasn't able to get at the part of my account that states the 2GB guidance until yesterday (it's in the "Change your Broadband Package" section, not available when it's showing an order in progress on the account)
