Here's another scenario! - On a 2Mb connection - no LLU in area!!!
Have a livebox (which hadn't been used for a few months) and connected it up to a Wanadoo broadband connection. Told client NOT to turn it off - no need to! It was working perfectly!
The client turned it off!
Since then when the Livebox is turned on again, a clicking noise is heard over the telephone line (when listening through a telephone) and, as this click occurs, all the lights on the Livebox flash on and then off (i.e. to the click!).
The double-arrow light remains on constantly but NO OTHER LIGHTS.
Did a reboot of the Livebox (unplug all leads, finger on 1, release when Three lights illuminate and stay on). The exclamation light flicks on and off then just teh double-arrow light illuminates. No @ light or any other light, until the "click" when all the lights flash to the click!
Not sure what is going on here as I have not come across this problem before. Does anyone have any ideas, before I have to contact Technical Support?!!!
The lights described are not part of the normal startup. Usually they come up like that when the Livebox was updating when it is turned off. Doesn't happen often so looks like they were unlucky.
If they have a recovery CD tell them to pop it in and follow the instructions, if not a short call to tech support will get one sent out. The vast majority of times the CD will fix this problem by reloading the software onto the Livebox.

Hi Elhana
Thank you for your suggestion... I will be speaking to Technical Support tomorrow morning! Hopefully they'll send me the CD - it does sound like the Livebox was turned off during an update!
yeah your livebox has been damaged (i.e. through unplugging it during a firmware update) and requires recovering. This can be done, as someone has suggested, through a recovery cd which is what is needed. Follow the steps on the cd when you receive it and you should be able to get back online (the livebox will reboot through the normal process once it has downloaded the recovery file).
Don't despair if you get a programmation error when you have received the cd and are trying to recover it. If this happens, call tech support and you will be put through to the Firmware Esalations Team who can talk you through recovering it using a USB printer cable. If all fails or you don't have one, you'll be sent a new livebox. Hope this helps!
