I posted a few days ago about being upgraded to 8meg, I have just heard from Orange, and they have told me I will not be on a new contract, and have also discovered I am not under contract at all just now. So I am going to get my MAC code and get out.
What about my email account with Orange, can I still access it, either through my new BB connection, or by dial up? If it is by dial up will this be billed by Orange or by BT? How long will it still be active,
I will change everybody I know to the new account, but some will still sneak through so it would be nice to check it now and again.
My advice is to ring them and cancel your account.
You wait for MAC codes an if you're lucky enough to ever get one it probably will be duff.
Make sure you cancel your DD with your bank too.
As for email I have left the robbing disgrace Orange 6 months ago and can still access my email & webspace.
Just log into Orange.co.uk and goto email, login in with your usual name.
Just ask for one if they make it awkward for you and keep making excuses not to give u one fill in an ISPA complaint form HERE they got mine off them for me, also Orange are well known for giving out dud MAC codes but ur new provider will let u know if its a valid on

I can still access my email account with Orange, 3 months after migrating. I don't use it for anything, but it's good to be able to check occasionaly for incoming.
Normally without doing anything the email account should work for about 3 months, although you won't be able to send through their servers from outside their network.
