I got Orange "free" broadband a while back - but they misplet my name on the signin and email. When I called to ask for it to be changed they said I would have to get detagged and retagged (about 3weeks) - I refused and demanded compensation - After haggling for a number of days I was given a free upgrade to "Unlimited" broadband - I asked if it was "really unlimited" and I asked (on the phone) to get a reference logged against there helpdesk to confirm this - I also got an email sent to me.They changed my name on the email alone but not my signin
The first week of December I get a Orange sales rep calling to say for an extra £5 I can go unlimited - I told him I was already unlimited - he checked, came back and confirmed I was and that he had called in error - I also obtained a reference against their helpdesk (I sued Tiscali and won last year and my lawyer/brother told me to get references from their helpdesk etc in any future deals)
December 20th - I get a letter dated "decemeber" (no day etc and spelt wrong) saying I have exceeded my 2G useage limit by 30G and that after continually being warned was now being cut off - I checked Broadband - it was cut - I called them and they said they had emailed me a number of times - to the email with my wrong name which I was assured months back had been cut off and entered correctly!
I told them the whole story - they denied it - I quoted references - they denied it saying they were not from their system, then changed their story to say the refrences were from their old system which crashed!! - buls***T
After threatening to change all my staffs mobiles to Vodafone (23 of them) I was told that was something for the mobile department - so I called them direct (another number to dial) and told them I was cutting all of my staffs mobile contracts when they terminated the following month.They begged and pleaded with me saying they would give me unlimited broadband organised, along with MAX upgrade, free calls, etc etc -
THEY MADE THE MISTAKE OF AGREEING TO THE BBAND DEAL BEFORE GETTING ME TO AGREE TO RESIGN UP ALL MY STAFF MOBILE CONTRACTS - TODAY I GOT MY BROADBAND RECONNECTED AND THEY CALLED ME THIS AFTERNOON TO UPGRADE OUR PHONES AND RESIGN US ALL UP..........AND I SAID NO!
THEY SAID "BUT WE DID IT IN A GESTURE OF GOOD FAITH" BECAUSE I WAS A "GOLD" CUSTOMER - I SAID SORRY I DONT REMEMBER DO THEY HAVE A REFERENCE?
THE LADY HAD THE CHEEK TO SAY I HAD BEEN UNTRUTHFUL AND SHE WILL BE DRAGGED OVER THE COALS FOR ORGANISING THE DEAL (WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE 2 SEPERATE COMPANIES) .
MY REPLY WAS "THANKS FOR ORGANISING MY BROADBAND - IT WAS THE LEAST YOU COULD DO AFTER YOUR COMEDY OF ERRORS BUT WITH REGARDS TO MY MOBILE ACCOUNT - IT IS NOW WITH Vodafone!
I hate Orange - they are the Third worst company in the world after tiscali and Sony
Absolute quality, a little vengeance certainly does make one a little happy. Its a very sad day when a company I've been with since it was freeserve becomes a company I hate. We need more of these things of how to treat Orange as Orange are treating their customers.....
