firstly, I have already tried the solution offered in the sticky, it didnt work.
A few days back PC World repaired the screen inverter in my lapyop. The screen now works, but I have a strange problem where neither the LAN or Wi-FI will work. They both say 'acquiring network address(or Ip adress, not sure)' and then eventually go onto 'limited or no connectivity.
I have tried a static IP but it didnt work. I cant think of anything else that it might be.
Laptop is an Advent 7099 with Centrino Duo, Wi-Fi & LAN worked perfectly before PC World touched it!
