I got Orange broadband back in the summer, on the standard (2 meg) plan. It worked fine.
Over Christmas, my o2 (now Sky) mobile contract expired, so I decided to go for a new mobile with Orange. I realised that I could then get my broadband as part of my mobile package and save some money in the process.
I called Orange to arrange this. My broadband was originally set up in my girlfriend's name, so I had to write Orange a letter changing the account so that my name was on it. It was straightforward enough and I got that organised. I also called them up and arranged to go onto the unlimited (8 meg) plan.
While I did all this, I was actually away from home, housesitting. I got back yesterday and tried to use the internet, but it wasn't working. The red "@" light just flashed on and off, slowly.
I tried reinstalling using my Livebox CD, but it told me my user name and password was incorrect. The red "@" light continued to flash on and off slowly. I have now spoken to Orange several times, and I am definitely using the correct username and password.
Does anyone know what else could be causing this and what I can do?
