Just a quick note to say I'm delighted to finally be rid of Orange. I signed up for their 'Home Max' package in January and, like most members of this forum, found them to be useless in almost every way. I finally got shot of them in April after 4 weeks of absolutely no service (in addition to all the other problems with my billing, line rental and the second voice line) and Orange demonstrating nothing but incompetence when it came to rectifying the service (or any of the other issues I had reported to them).
They conceded they were in breach of contract, they couldn't really say otherwise when presented with a written account of their many failings.
I would advise anyone not to persevere with their phone support, as it is useless. I made over 20 calls over 3 weeks and it is fair to say that nothing was achieved as a result. Write to them as soon as possible and offer to refer the matter to 3rd party adjudication. I found the advice and links from this site very useful. I'll think give PlusNet a go, I would like to think they couldn't be any worse.
Glad to hear you escaped their trap anyway zoonie.
Big companies like this seem to think they can take money and do what they want.
Again proof that they cannot get away with it when you stand upto them as contracts work both ways, by law.
I can thoroughly recommend Idnet and o2 (now Sky) - both from experience as 100% excellent ISP s.
