The reason why i am asking is that my Belkin Wireless Adapter requires a Passphrase Key and these seem to be different as I am entering the WEP SK in and this doesn't work. I take it that this is some sort of generated password to access the network...of which I have a Livebox, but I can't see anywhere on the admin pages of the Livebox a option to generate one or that one is already set, only the WEP SK.
Thanks in advance.
Swiss.
P.S. My Livebox works perfectly BTW!!! Amazing really!!!
Ok so I've decided to give up on the Belkin Software for conecting and used the windows thing instead...for what its worth, using micro$oft instead of Belkins, it works and thats all that matters.
Passphrase entry is a system to use a recognisable piece of text as a password for your wireless. It uses the phrase to generate a key so in itself it's not a password or key.
Because this generates the key from the text you enter if you enter the key itself it'll generate something different meaning it won't connect.
To connect a belkin adapater using it's own software you'll need to set it to allow direct entry of the key, ususally in hexadecimal.
